Over the last year, the Central Falls School District, Rhode Island Mayoral Academies, and Blackstone Valley Prep Mayoral Academy have been working together on the Comeback City High Expectations Project (CHEP). With the support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, CHEP was able to host a conference last spring to kick-off the project and again this past Saturday. Designed with teachers, leaders and parents in mind, over 200 attendees came together for sessions with a focus on helping educators and families increase student achievement by developing common understandings and clarity on how to implement instruction that supports high expectations.
Throughout the day, attendees were invited to tweet using #AllKids to share out inspiring quotes, reflections, and musings. Below is some of what guests had to share.
Thank you to everyone who worked hard to bring together an amazing day full of deep conversations and an even bigger thank you to everyone who attended!
