For Families

We see families as partners in striving for academic excellence.

Keeping communication open and being on the same page with parents and caregivers is critical to our work. We believe these deep relationships are foundational to every scholar’s journey from elementary through high school.

To support our efforts to communicate clearly with families, BVP has adopted ParentSquare. This will become our primary mode of communication in addition to some paper communication from schools.

If you haven’t already and you are a parent, you will be invited to register on ParentSquare. Keep an eye out for messages with instructions.

Special Education Advisory Committee

The Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) provides vital information to parents of children with special needs, including information on individual education programs (IEP’s) and federal and state laws. The SEAC strives to improve communication, advocacy and partnerships with parents, and encourages greater understanding, acceptance, compassion and the inclusion of children with special education needs. It is a resource that helps parents and educators deliver the best and most appropriate services to scholars. For more information about SEAC, please contact Tina Tonino, Associate Director of Student Populations, Karyn Frink (Parent Co-Chair), and Kate Conroy (Parent Co-Chair) at

SEAC meetings are open to all families with an interest in topics related to special education.
