Last spring BVP’s local and state funding was cut by almost $1 million dollars. This means that for every scholar attending BVP we now receive $526 less funding than traditional public schools.

It was difficult news for us to receive. Despite this we remain focused on providing the same high-quality, high-performing programs BVP families have come to expect, but to do it we need your help. Every donation, big and small, helps us accomplish our goal of preparing every scholar for success in college and the world beyond.

Recently, we asked our donors why they choose to consistently give to BVP. Here’s what some had to share:

“We are fortunate to have our children attend BVP and see first-hand the amazing job BVP’s team does for their scholars. We donate to ensure that other families can have the same opportunities that our children do. A high-quality education should be available to all kids.” – Lisa Bowie

“Student outcomes. If I had to narrow down what drives us to give to BVP every year, it is far bigger than what the school has done for our own children. It’s about their commitment to raising expectations for all children regardless of zip code or background and proving what all kids can achieve.” – Erika Sanzi

So far, we have raised $6,000 towards our recently launched Annual Fund goal of $100,000. To move us closer to our 2016 – 2017 goal we want to double this progress by Giving Tuesday, November 29th.

So, we ask: Will you #GivePRIDE?
