The only time you should ever look back is to see how far you’ve come.
At Blackstone Valley Prep (BVP) Mayoral Academy, we believe it’s important to reflect. Some of the best and most valuable lessons you can learn come from celebrating what has worked and examining what did not. In taking a step back to review highlights from the past year we felt there was an underlying theme:
Everyone at BVP believes wholeheartedly that every child can learn, grow, dream, lead, inspire, dance, succeed, persevere, innovate, and, in the end, achieve.
Given this, the theme for our 2015-16 annual report is ALL KIDS. In addition to our report being a reflection on the past year, it is also a reflection on how our work has remained focused on our vision since our founding. With all that we do, we aspire to be a proof-point for what is possible for public education in Rhode Island. As we step forward, proud of how far we’ve come and poised to go even further, we would like to thank everyone who has been supportive of BVP over the past year. To our partners, donors, families, and volunteers – we could not do this work without you.
